year and the first coach of spring sports and body thald the women's softball coach has joined us.

Bonnie, thanks for joining me.

And when you hear the term spring sport, right now, if you're playing, it really feels

like it should still be classified as a winner sport.

Well, thanks for having me, John.

And I definitely agree with you.

When people look out their windows and they're not thinking softball or baseball or batten ball sports right now.

But that's forefront on our minds.

We're in practice.

We started again January 10th, and we are two weeks out from our very first game down in Florida.

What's the level of excitement? We'll get into more detail in terms of personnel and your

roster in just a few minutes, but what's the level of excitement for a new season for your team?

Well, we have a pretty young team, but the fun thing about it is I

looked at our roster and I watched them from the moment they came back to campus this fall.

And those freshmen that gained valuable experience last year and then the sophomores who

are now upperclassmen, they're excited to lead.

And we had plenty of conversations this summer with those upperclassmen and their ability to lead.
