It has been a roller coaster of a season for Michigan field hockey.

The Wolverines off to a six and six start, but so many close losses, some big wins as well.

And the stretch run is upon the Wolverines as they have a couple of huge matches coming up this weekend at home

against 10th ranked Maryland on Friday at 4 and then the 15th ranked Penn State Nittany Lions,

that one Sunday at 1 o'clock.

We're going to catch up with two of the stars of this field hockey program here this week

with Kaylee McMahon in goal and one of the captain's Rosie Hope.

Kaylee, before we get into this season,

your journey to this point is fascinating. Starting with your surgery to remove a tumor

around your spine, can you take listeners through that process, which I understand required you

to go all the way back to the basics to where you had to relearn how to walk? Yeah, so that was a

pretty crazy time in my life. I actually graduated

high school in 2020 and was originally committed to Stanford University, but they cut their

field hockey program due to COVID. So ended up taking a gap year, recommitted to Michigan,
