Host Brad Kearns welcomes another podcast host to the show for a 'getting real" conversation about the habitual overtraining patterns of Type-A, highly motivated, goal-oriented fitness enthusiasts. This show was syndicated on Connie's podcast called the Fit Farming Food Mom. Connie is a Certified Nutritionist, ISSA certified personal trainer, competitive bodybuilder, Dental Assistant, hobby farmer in Idaho and mother of two young kids. She does it all!! But she had to learn the hard way that pushing too hard in training leads to setbacks instead of success. Brad kicks off the show with a challenge statement to athletes listening: "What are you all about, what is your true purpose for pursuing your fitness goals?" If you are trying to burn off nervous energy, escape from other stresses in life, or feed your ego, it's better to acknowledge it than behave in a manner that's different than your stated goals. When you can be honest with yourself, and release the attachment of your self-esteem from the results of your endeavors, you open yourself up for personal growth and performance breakthroughs.
