Today on Roon soup we are speaking with writer, adult film actor, academic and all around

sexpert, Connor Habib.

So I'm quite looking forward to this.

The traditional first question, Connor, were you a weird kid?

I think I was a lonely kid. I like I found one of my mom's

diaries after she died and it said like I've never seen a baby that liked books so much right

which is like sounds really cute but then when you think about a kid just

reading a lot as a child we romanticize that as adults but it actually you just get an image of a child, we romanticize that as adults, but it actually you just get an image of a child

sitting by themselves all the time, which is consequently what I still do.

When I was in high school, was definitely looked weird from the outside because I grew up in small town, Pennsylvania, you know, lots of KKKches down the street in my town skin heads all that kind of stuff and I was just this like you know punk rock kid in a very small school and I was you know pissed off all the time wearing band

t-shirts you know bands that nobody had ever heard of sometimes I did that just

as posturing I didn't even really like the band I just wanted to look like I was an outsider you know I want to be an outsider even to myself and so I think yeah I was sort of a weird kid but probably more of a lonely kid which is not necessarily a terrible thing.

It just, you know, that's my answer.

So do you, I mean, do you have early memories that kind of track with your mother's diary observation?

Like, do you remember sitting alone reading books and were they

autistic books like the dictionary or are you reading my kids books?
