Okay, something's got to change. It's not going to start with her, so it's got to start

with me. So how can I be the adult in this relationship and just try to keep loving her

and correcting these behaviors that I don't like, but also not sacrificing our relationship

as I do that.

Hey moms of girls, this episode is for you and as boy moms get to listen in and learn

as well, especially at the end of this episode, she has great advice for helping your child

navigate friendships where one friend may be making different choices than your child

is making and how to coach them through that. I had been asked by several friends. Have

you ever interviewed Carrie Kempakis and I had it. We've been living these parallel

lives, her with her four girls, me with my four boys, and I'm thrilled to now call her

friend. We had such a great conversation. So much show. In fact, that we actually recorded

a second episode that I'll be releasing soon that is focused on how we are more than

a mom, but today we're focused on your connection with your daughter. Carrie's written a book

called Love Her Well, 10 Ways to Find Joy and Connection with your teenage daughter.

And so she's here today to remind us that we can be a valid voice in her daughter's

lives and that even as the entertainers, you can cultivate that relationship through humility

and compassion. She has so much wisdom and great perspective. So let's get right to it.
