I'm Gianna Jalosi with your Fox True Crime Minute. A Connecticut mom locked in a bitter custody battle accused of poisoning her estranged husband.

33-year-old Kristen Hogan arrested in Ridgefield charged with two counts of attempted murder and other charges, accused of poisoning wine and iced tea in her exes home with ethylene glycol, the main ingredient in antifreeze.

Her husband says he drank a small amount of wine corked in his fridge August 10th. He realized something was wrong when he kept waking up sick throughout the night. In the morning he called his parents, his mom found him staggering, slurring his words, and vomiting and took him to the hospital where he was put in the ICU for renal failure. Doctors realized he had been poisoned. He believes Hogan went into his home to poison the wine the day she was supposed to go to a court hearing but never showed. After initially denying the accusations, Hogan said she never wanted to kill her husband, just, quote, make him sick as payback for being mentally abusive.
