As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Florida Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy has

her eyes on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

As a member of the January 6th select committee, Murphy is getting a bird's eye view at the

effort to overturn the 2020 election.

As a former refugee, she and her family fled Vietnam in the 1970s when she was six months

old.

The threats to democracy both represent our front of mind.

Autocratic forces are on the march in the world today.

And as Americans, we need to stand up and defend democracy, whether that is overseas

or here at home.

You have to understand that I came from a country that was a democracy until it wasn't.
