Hey, this is Trey. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesdays with Trey. I heard

about our guest this week, away before I ever met him. I have a friend, they grew up in

Spartanburg named Andrew Kinerd. Andrew went to the Naval Academy and then he joined the

Marines and he told me about today's guest. He considered him to be a friend and I figured

any friend of Andrews could also be a friend of mine. And I wound up being right. Seth

Molten and I sat on opposite sides of the house. He represents Massachusetts. I represented

South Carolina. But under the heading of we probably judge people based on our own interactions

with them. He was always fair. He was more than fair. He was actually really nice and

thoughtful and curious and I enjoyed talking to him. He graduated from Harvard. Got a dual

degree if my research is correct. After that, in business and public policy served in Iraq

on multiple tours. And now he serves in the United States House representative. Seth,

I am sure I got part of your bio wrong. But you may be too much of a gentleman to correct

me. How are you? That's all good, Trey. I'm good. Thank you so much for having me on.

It's good to see you. You too. I'm going to start with the hardest question of all. Why

in the world did you major in physics? Yeah, I thought I was smarter than I am. Physics

was tough. Physics was tough. I've always loved science. And I'll tell you the best thing

about having a physics degree. For everybody in life who sees your resume and not your transcript,

you sound really smart. I'm living proof that seeds get degrees even at Harvard. But when

people say, oh, you get a Harvard physics degree, you must be brilliant. That's helped me

out every once in a while. I think I only know three physics majors. Probably because

I mean, most of my friends just aren't that smart. So I think I only know three people

who majored in physics. I remember when my son took it, he actually took the AP Physics
