House Republicans had no choice.

And what they did is something that I think is a really sound economic plan for the country.

We can't continue to borrow money.

It's basically rob our kids and grandkids of their future.

So they just returned spending levels to 2022 levels.

That is not a big sacrifice.

They reduced the rate of growth moving forward.

In other words, baseline budgeting often allows for six, seven, eight, 10% increases
