Summary

In honor of Valentine’s Day it’s an episode about romantic love… just kidding it’s about breakups! It's part variety show from 2019 where I compiled all of the times (up until then) I spoke with guests on how heartbreak, grief, and sadness can lead to growth. I play some of my favorite clips from my conversations with manifestation advisor and founder of To Be Magnetic, Lacy Phillips, herbalist and founder of Supernatural, Rachelle Robinett, writer and designer Robyn Kanner, author Sara Avant Stover, dancer and writer Cody Cook-Parrott, illustrator and author Mari Andrew, artist Jon Marro, writer Jessica Ciencin Henriquez, musician Yoke Lore, director Kristin Hanggi ... it sounds like a bummer of an episode but it was actually quite optimistic, full of wisdom, and even at times funny. Then I react to hearing their advice 5 years later, talk about if I took it and what has happened since… Let me know if you listen : )

Hi, it's Valentine's Day, 24, and in honor of this holiday, we're going back in time to

0:07.8

December 2019. This is a clips episode that I made back then, and I'll let past me set that up in a few

0:20.7

minutes,

0:21.0

but I just wanted to jump in and say that listening back to these clips from each of the guests

0:27.3

was actually really comforting and useful.

0:31.4

And if you've been around since then, since 2019, maybe you remember this episode.

0:36.0

I had forgotten a lot of the anecdotes and advice that

0:43.0

the guests in this give. And so it was actually really interesting to listen back. And if you

0:48.4

weren't around then, you're about to hear. But basically, I was the type of heartbroken after a

0:53.8

breakup where I had an inability to talk about

0:58.2

much else and that bled into this podcast. It was like the type of heartbroken where I, you know,

1:04.8

I'd be like in the back of a cab and I'd be like St.. Mark's between first and second.

1:12.2

And also, have you ever had your heartbroken?

1:14.2

Like, I just was talking to everybody about it.

1:19.2

And I ended up doing that to several podcast guests, actually more than I remembered.

1:19.5

I did.

1:22.5

At the end of this, I was like, oh, my God, you're still longing about this?

1:24.5

It's been months, you know?

1:26.0

But I was. And so I had quite a few clips to choose from, and each of

1:32.1

the guests that you're about to hear are really unique from each other. We've got writers and

1:38.0

artists and dancer, well, one dancer and one herbalist and designers, and you're going to hear them speak about this topic.

1:46.9

And by the end of that year, I had a lot of material and a lot of advice and their answers on
