0:00.0	Welcome to In Touch, the teaching ministry of Dr. Charles Stanley. Many of you who are
0:07.8	long-time listeners to this program feel like you knew Dr. Stanley and may have experienced
0:13.7	a great sense of loss at his recent passing. It's one thing to know him from afar as
0:18.9	pastor and teacher, but today we'll hear the thoughts of someone much closer to him.
0:24.6	Louis Giglio grew up at first Baptist Church of Atlanta as a close friend of Dr. Stanley's
0:30.0	son. And in today's program, you'll hear his reflections on Dr. Stanley's life of faithfulness.
0:37.6	When I was asked to come and to speak today, I thought, you know, what in the world can I do to
0:43.6	honor and lift up this moment of Dr. Stanley's leadership in this church? And I began thinking
0:49.7	about a passage of Scripture in the prophet Isaiah. And I'd love for you to turn to it with me in
0:54.7	chapter 32 because there's a verse in this chapter where in the first eight verses, there's a
1:01.4	contrast between good and godly leadership and poor leadership. And that passage is summarized
1:08.6	in the very last verse of this section in verse eight. And I think this verse speaks well
1:14.7	to the person that we're remembering, honoring, giving thanks for today. And this is what it says.
1:20.5	I'll just come to the end of the passage to verse eight. It says, but the noble man
1:26.2	makes noble plans. And by noble deeds, he stands. Isn't that a great verse? Isn't that something
1:36.0	amazing to have said about your life? You know, nobility is a great word. And nobility is a word
1:42.5	that we don't use a lot in our current vocabulary, but noble speaks to the character of a person's heart.
1:51.4	And in Isaiah comes down, he's talking about people who are not noble. If you read a few verses
1:56.7	before in verse six, it says, the fool speaks folly. His mind is busy with evil. He practices
2:04.5	ungodliness and spreads error concerning the Lord. So there's two kinds of leaders. There's
2:11.2	two kinds of teachers. There might even be two kinds of preachers and two kinds of pastors,
2:17.4	because he says specifically, this person spreads error concerning the Lord. And therefore,
