So the series is called Confident, a life that wins in the end.

Don't you want to know that at the end of this journey, you're going to be in a winning

story.

Now, everyone in our current world of America thinks they're going to be in a winning story.

It's called, in modern times, a participation trophy, and that's what you get if you show

up.

Now, some of you get that, and others of us don't, because we're older and from a different

generation.

I'm from the generation, 1970, 85-pound falcons.

This is what your pastor looked like, pretty intimidating out there.

And in 1970, on the 85-pound falcons, here's how it worked.

Now, we've come a long way from 1970, but here's how it also worked in 1970.

If you lost, which means you didn't win, which means the other team actually won, the

other people scored more touchdowns than your team scored, or other people on your team

scored more touchdowns than you scored, you lost.
