So last week we kicked off a new series called Confident, a life that wins in the end.

And our pastor just set it up so beautifully for us and he said right off the bat, he

said, when it comes to heaven, when it comes to eternal life, there are no participation

trophies.

There are no participation trophies when it comes to winning an eternal life, right?

He says, if we want to have confidence that we will win in the end, then our confidence

cannot be in our own efforts or performance.

If we want to live a life that wins in the end, our confidence, we must be confident

in somebody else's performance.

We must have confidence not in what we can achieve in our own strength, but in what

Jesus Christ achieved on our behalf.

But ultimately, if we want to win in the end, all of our confidence, all of our hope

must be in him and not in our own efforts, not in us.

And so with week two, we're going to continue on that foundation.

We're going to continue building on what was laid for us last week.
