Right there at the end of our conversation with Grant Paulson, he brought up the Bengals and how the

Bengals plan to play their starters. I believe Joe Burrow in the first preseason game for Cincinnati

through two touchdowns. And the thing with Cincinnati is they're trying to flip the script

because they have been notorious slow starters under Zach Taylor.

I believe they've started 0 and 2 and 4 of their last five seasons.

Of course, they missed the playoffs last year and they're trying to change things around.

E.B. I'll ask you this. If the commanders have Jaden Daniels on the field, and they put together one of those signature drives like they had last season, where they would have the ball for seven minutes, and it would be a 15 play drive, and it would end up with a touchdown pass to Zackerts or whoever. Oh, I don't think you would see him again in the rest of preseason. Right. Now, and I don't even know. I'm conflicted about the whole thing because I'd like to see more. But like I say, the joint practices, the coaches see what they need to see, they get all the looks. The preseason games really are for the backup positions.

There's no urgency.

They don't show anything.

It's all vanilla.
