We come now, Father your word the Bible, humbly asking for your help as we seek to

study it so that we might not only understand what it says, but that we might believe it,

and that in believing it, that we might obey it,

and that in being obedient to it, our lives may be transformed by it. Help us to this end, we humbly

pray in Christ's name, amen.

And I invite you to turn to James and Chapter 5. We've come today, I believe, to the end of our studies in James.

Tonight will be in the final two verses, and this morning we deal with the three or four verses that

lead up to that. Let me just read this section that begins from verse 13 through to the end of the chapter. Is any one of you in

trouble he should pray? Is anyone happy let him sing songs of praise? Is any one of

you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and

anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will
