Summary

Patrick Daugherty (@RotoPat), Denny Carter and Kyle Dvorchak (@kyletweetshere) break down a memorable conference championship Sunday, with plenty of diversions and side quests along the way. For the AFC-winning Patriots, they debate just how impressive this run has actually been, and whether they are primed to be underestimated in Santa Clara. For the Seahawks, they probe their strengths and weaknesses as they head into the game as favorites. They also ponder if 2025 represented "last ride" seasons for the Rams and Broncos.

0:31.6

They're back in the Super Bowl to face an old friend, the New England Patriots who are never not in the Super Bowl.

0:55.5

10 to 7. I saw a lot of people saying, you know, like, there was the class that we wished on a monkey's paw for the chiefs not to finally make a Super Bowl. And it's the Patriots. Because, you know, like, listen, no, Mahomes, Burrow, Lamar, the other guy, Josh Allen, one of them's finally going to make it.

It's just like, yeah, it's like cosmically unfair that the Patriots are back in the Super Bowl.

It is. It's also very unfair of me to say the Patriots weren't even good.

1:11.4

Three straight defensive masterworks,

1:19.7

much,

1:20.4

much more so on Sunday than the first two games on this New England Super Bowl run guys.

1:25.2

But they adapted the conditions a little better than Denver.

1:29.0

But also, unlike Denver, they didn't have their backup quarterback, so it was a little easier to do.

1:34.3

Stiddy thing, went down like a lead balloon.

1:37.5

Who's got initial thoughts on this game?

1:39.4

Just, are you impressed with the Patriots?

1:42.0

They did a lot of impressive things during the three-game run. You know, the scuttle butt, the cope on the internet, like, you're not even good. Like regular seats. Like, I've seen as people say they only beat two playoff teams all year. And then like the fine print. And also three other playoff teams in the playoffs. So like they have now beat five playoff teams all year. But Danny, are you impressed with the New England Patriots to start there?
