I want to begin with something that I've wanted to talk about the last several nights since April began, but haven't

had a chance to yet because so many things have happened.

And things are going to keep on happening, so if I don't talk about Confederate History Month

now, the month will be over before I get a chance.

It is fitting that Confederate History Month falls every year in April because it honors

both racist and fools.

For those of you who have too much going on and don't have enough free time,

Confederate History Month is a month designated by several state governments in the South

to recognize and honor the history of the treasonous

losing white supremacist Confederate states of America.

April has traditionally been chosen because Confederate Memorial Day falls during that month

in many of the states and of course that's the month that they surrendered. The designation of a

month as Confederate history month began back in 1994. Now let's get this out of the way.

I'm a big fan of all the wonderful white people in the south who are embarrassed by this and fighting it.

But we got to take white supremacy seriously.

We have to call out white supremacy.

And when Donald Trump talks about our beautiful memorials,

we have to sit up and realize this is an ever-present threat. They are trying to

whitewash the true history of what the Confederacy was about. Never forget

when Donald Trump said in Charlottesville that they were very fine people on
