So before we get started, I really do need to make a correction from last week. I got a bunch of emails about this one.

When I mentioned Franz Lahar's Opera, the Mary Wives of Windsor, it's not called the Mary Wives of

Windsor, that's an Otto Nicolai Opera and also a Shakespeare play. The opera I meant to say

was the Mary Widow. So sorry about that and thank you for all the emails. It's really great to know everybody

listen so closely to the show.

So this week starts the experiment of going to two episodes a week.

I promise I'll give this my best effort until I start conducting again,

which sadly seems to be drifting

further and further off into the future. This week I was informed of

cancellations of concerts in Munich at the end of April, a recording at the end of May

and the cancellation of the Mostly Mozart Festival

this July in New York, where I was going to be conducting the Festival Orchestra.
