Mauryan Morgan admires all the parked planes in neat rows as he strolls by them.

A short cheerful Welshman in his 40s, Maure and his deputy director of the Royal Aircraft

establishment, RAE, a government research facility.

He loves his job, and he's excited

about the future of British aeronautics,

but not everyone shares his optimism.

This past year has seen three fatal crashes involving the De Havland Comet,

the world's first commercial passenger jet.

Once the pride and joy at the British industry,

the Comet is now an international embarrassment.

But Morian has an idea.

He spent weeks pouring over every detail of the concept,

and he's convinced his idea is just what they need. But he has to convince his boss,

R. A. E. Director Arnold Hall to agree.
