In leaving out 13-0 Florida State, the College Football Playoff committee compromised the integrity of the sport in pursuit of the most marketable matchups featuring bigger brands and conference ties. It's a farce that communicates that on-field results aren't really what matters and that the ACC is really a G6 conference rather than a P5 conference—despite its nonconference record. Ultimately, this isn't about who got left out, it's about the injustice of *any* team going 13-0 against a schedule including 10 Power 5 opponents and the most wins over bowl eligible teams of any program in the country and then not getting a chance to play for a title.
