Summary

Many of us know what Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is, and we associate it with people who have come back from war, or who have experienced traumatic events, or accidents. Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or C-PTSD is a type of PTSD that garnering much more attention lately thanks to all we're learning about the long-term effects of trauma from people in power. but it's the concept of complex post-traumatic stress disorder, or C-PTSD. And this is something that's

become more and more widely recognized by doctors and mental health professionals over the years,

and this is something that results from repeated trauma over months or years rather than from a single event. And it doesn't just have to be anything from,

you know, from war or from something as traumatic as a car crash or those sort of things.

This can be long-term trauma that includes ongoing physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. So this can be a part of

a relationship, maybe a relationship with someone who has been emotionally unavailable, somebody who

might be in a relationship with someone who has a personality disorder, such as narcissism.
