3:05pm- On Friday, federal prosecutors unsealed a 49-page indictment of former President Donald Trump detailing the alleged mishandling of classified documents after leaving office. The indictment includes 38 federal charges—31 counts “related to withholding national defense information, 5 related to concealing possession of classified documents, and 2 false statements”, according to The New York Times. 3:15pm- In a statement made during his Friday press conference, special counsel Jack Smith defended the Trump indictment, explaining: “We have one set of laws in this country, and they apply to everyone.” He did not take questions from the press.
