kickoff. Where are we going to go with the kickoff in 2024?

Well, we've met with the special team coaches this past Sunday.

That is we being the competition committee.

They briefed the committee on what they've researched from

the CFL, the USFL, the XFL, what has worked in other professional leads

around the world or what has it worked. And it seems as though

there's a combination of a little bit of a little bit of XFL, a little bit of

U.S.F.S.F.S.F. Yeah. That they could bring into the play that can make an issue.

Oh, they're going to make it interesting all right. You know, I've been looking at

NFL rules proposals for years. They sent out all of the competition committee

proposals yesterday and the proposal to revolutionize the kickoff is so long and so involved it's got so many

tentacles it changes so many things and I still think it's a work in progress yeah

is ultimately until the owners vote on a final version and they can make tweaks and they can make changes and it takes 24 to make it happen.

But the momentum is there and before the meetings that happened in Indianapolis there was a belief they could not get to 24 votes

to change the kickoff to this mainly XFL style, which the UFL is not going to use. That's what's weird about it. The

XFL used it, the UFL, which is the merged XFL and U.SFL is not using it, but

this is where the kicker is well behind the action.

You've got the kicking team and the receiving team packed together.

They're taking the high speed collisions between one player and another player out of the game where they get top speed and they go right at each other,

they dip their heads before impact and you get maximum force and pressure on the C4C5 area and you can have a serious neck injury or worse.

That's the idea to get that out of the game but they've got this this mechanism that

looks like electric football because you got all the guys
