In an effort to be compelling, we are losing what was compelling.

Because somehow we think we are going to get along better with the world if we just blend in.

And so when we blend in, when he said, no, you are the light of the world, you are the salt of the world.

What we have done is that we have just lost our uniqueness, and in trying to be cool,

we are less compelling than we were.

Music We were. Now, by this time, you have two points down, and we're about to take down the third and

most important one so far.

I want to remind you what we've got.

Number one, we have everything it takes to be the most compelling people on earth.

And the number two is this, but in an effort to be culturally compelling, we forfeited our

uniqueness.

So we're back to say, you know what, I want my compelling

back. This was my right in Christ. This is my calling. That's part of my identity in him is wrapped up

right here in the pull of the Spirit as a person of Jesus.

So I want you to see something in verse 22 where it says,

and now I'm on my way to Jerusalem, compelled by the Spirit, not knowing what I will encounter there,

except that in every town the Holy Spirit warns me, the chains and afflictions are waiting for me,

but I consider my life of no value to myself.

My purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I receive from the Lord Jesus

to testify to the gospel of God's grace.

He said, I already know what I'm walking into.

But I want you to see the third point,
