0:00.0	The Book of Acts is the book of the continuing Christ. What Christ began in the gospel records,
0:09.6	he continues in the book of Acts. In the first part of Acts, chapters 1 through 7, we joined
0:15.9	the adventures of what the Holy Spirit was doing through the apostles in the early church.
0:21.3	This work was primarily focused in Jerusalem.
0:24.7	The second section of Acts, however, advances beyond Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria.
0:31.2	In this section of our study, we see the power of the gospel on full display,
0:37.1	changing the lives of those who hear it.

0:46.0	We are living in a world filled with so much hatred, and there's only one thing that cuts
0:53.4	through the hatred, and it is the love of God.

1:02.1	In fact, in Jude, verse 22, the Bible says,

1:09.7	Compassion makes a difference. The love of God makes a difference. We find, I think,
1:16.6	one of the great pictures of that in the story of Ananias in Acts chapter number nine. We've been
1:21.6	looking at this man that was used of God to minister to the man who would become the great
1:27.4	apostle to the Gentiles.
1:28.8	I, for one, am grateful to God for Anonias.
1:31.5	I'm looking forward to shaking his hand when I get to heaven
1:33.5	and learning more about his experience with the Lord and with Saul.
