0:00.0 | Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devote |
0:14.8 | ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning you guys. We are picking up with day three |
0:20.0 | of our freedom from sin devotional in the Bible app. There's a link to that in the description |
0:25.2 | of this podcast if you guys want to fall along with us and as always I'm going to read the |
0:28.4 | scripture and then Tori's going to read the Divo. Let's do it. The scripture is John chapter 10 |
0:33.4 | verse 10 and it says this and this is Jesus speaking. The thief's purpose is to steal, kill |
0:40.6 | and destroy. My purpose is to give you a rich and satisfying life. The devotional's titled |
0:48.4 | comparing sin. Don't judge someone just because they sin differently than you. We've touched on |

1:22.8 | small lie that doesn't seem to affect anyone is not that big of a deal but the person who betrayed |
1:29.1 | their spouse. Well that's a huge lie and we think I'm so glad I'm not like him or her. This |
1:37.0 | mindset is inaccurate and far from biblical. We read in Romans 3 23 for everyone has sinned. We all |
1:46.6 | fall short of God's glorious standard. In essence we've all missed the mark. Regardless if we miss |
1:53.8 | it by a little or a lot it does not measure up to God's perfection. This revelation isn't to shame |
2:01.1 | us. It's to set us free. Free from the trap of looking around at others and thinking we are superior |
2:08.0 | to them. If we're continually comparing ourselves with others then the standard will always be a moving |
2:14.9 | target. Some days we may feel like the best person on earth compared to someone else's actions |
2:20.5 | while on other days we're discouraged because someone is making better choices than we are. |
2:26.0 | The standard or mark we must hold ourselves to is God's perfection. If we strive to follow him |
