Hello again, I'm Orman Alney, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International.

A daily look at the issues Americans care about most.

Since his election,

President Obama's been trying to reactivate his campaign network, including some 13 million

people still connected online. He wants the volunteers who helped win the White House to help him

govern the country. Today in a conference call, he asked for grassroots efforts to pressure

Congress to support his proposals on health care reform.

Will they respond with emails, phone calls, local meetings, and door-to-door visits, or leave it up to the man they succeeded in sending to Washington?

President Obama turned community organizer once again today,

trying to rev up last year's grassroots army of volunteers. Well, they respond by helping him govern

the way they helped him campaign. On reporter's notebook, Allied forces have increased alert levels

in response to what they call a grave threat from North Korea. We'll talk with a veteran of 11 visits

to North Korea about this week's

nuclear test and its threats of escalation. First, this news update, some holders of General

Motors bonds have accepted a government-brokered deal to ease the company into Chapter 11
