larger mysterious Mr. Quinn collection the passing of Mr Quinn, first published in Grand Magazine in March of

1924. Catherine Brobeck, tell us all about our victim here.

So our victim is one Mr Derek Capel.

He is the owner or was the owner of an estate and friend to many and about to be mysteriously married and turns out

when our story starts he is some 10 years deceased after killing himself with a shot to the head.

Right, so our victim was a victim a decade ago.

Correct.

We've seen this before at Christine, we'll see it again.

Sometimes she likes to do these kind of

reminiscent murder mysteries where characters who perhaps had been there or have some

sort of an angle on things or looking back and trying to

recreate and solve the crime from a distance and... A murder and retrospect you might say?

A murder in retrospect you might say and the distance makes things interesting doesn't it

let's talk about our suspects because there aren't any. Yeah pretty easy to

get through this one. Yeah this was a pretty clear case of suicide. The bigger

question is why did this gentleman commit suicide? Let us be clear there is a murderer

in this story too. And there is a murder in this story. But let's move on and talk about the world

as it appears to be. We are at Royston, which is the home of Tom Evisham and his wife Laura,

and a party has gathered on a wintery January night.

And that party includes Mr. Sadrathwaite, who we all know from Three Act tragedy.
