Hello and welcome to the latest in our series of podcasts we call Centre Stage. My name is Sandra Davis.

0:14.2

I'm a director and part of the coaching team at Bladermore. At Centre Stage, we try and create podcasts which touch on issues which our

0:24.7

clients have to think about on a regular basis, whether it's investor relations or employee

0:30.3

communications and engagement, or as we're doing today, a focus on ESG and how that has dramatically changed both in terms

0:40.9

of the regulatory environment and importance to all stakeholders over the last few years.

0:49.8

To do that, I've been joined by a specialist in this area, Caroline Morris. She's been working on ESG

1:27.3

an investor point of view, a company

1:29.2

point of view, an employee, a point of view, and the communities in which they operate and serve.

1:34.7

She recently set up a consultancy called Penmount, specifically to help companies navigate

1:41.0

this changing world and this changing set of requirements and values.

1:46.0

And we're going to talk about what that means and about how those people responsible for

1:51.4

communicating those changes, what they need to think about and engage with, particularly

1:58.5

for their audiences, to make sure that the good actions that are taking

2:02.4

place are clearly understood and known about. And shared. Hello, Caroline.

2:09.9

Afternoon. Let's start with what's happened over the last couple of weeks. We've had the G7

2:15.1

summit. ESG has been on everybody else's agenda. Was it on theirs?

2:21.4

It most certainly was. At the end of the summit, they released a four-page communique.
