The Summer Olympics in Tokyo start one year from yesterday.

We told you about this yesterday.

But today, I was reading that the medals, gold, silver, and bronze,

just in case you just woke up from a cave today, have been made from 80,000 tons of recycled electronic

devices. They got around 5,000 metals for their trouble. 5,000 metals will be used for both the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games.

It's interesting to me that you get 80,000 tons of something and that only makes about 5,000 metals.

I understand this is a this is quite a process.

80,000 tons gave you 71 pounds of gold.

Well right because they're not made out of solid gold if they were they wouldn't be in the

trash I mean that's how that works. So there's very little actual

gold in these various electronic devices. There's probably more silver in them and

they use it. Yes, they got much more silver and I'm guessing they got some bronze out of it too. There's probably other filler. I don't know if they, I'm guessing there's like

filler material they use maybe as well. The point being like they're looking for pure metal and there may not be a ton of pure metal so they have to get a bunch of you

know use devices to find the scant amounts that they need to make all this stuff.

I apologize for sounding like a douche but I'm going to ask the question.

Now it is good that we don't have

80,000 tons of recycled or electronic equipment in the ground. Right. That's bad. Right. I think we do need to find a way to just start shooting this crap into space.
