Today's podcast is going to be a little bit weird. Try to stay open-minded and be prepared to dig in

a little bit to my personal life. I've kept this pretty much under wraps. I mean my close friends

know what's been going on but uh last September, October. I broke up with my girlfriend and

again this is part of my personal life but I feel it is important for those out there listening

how common law marriage actually works and what can happen during the process of it.

And again broke up with my girlfriend and I have to stay fairly neutral on this or I'll get

some kind of frequencies into this letter or some damn thing where where defamation of character

letter I have no doubt. So I'm just going to state the facts of what happened to where there's no

he said she said type of a thing but give you an idea of what I went through with this.

So there's certain states that still allow or or common law marriages is such a thing.

And in those states you basically there's parameters of if you've lived with someone a certain

amount of time, if you've the appearance to the public, you know joint bank accounts, what have you,

if if if you have those things, you can be common law married and the man or the woman will

go down to the courtroom and they will actually file for divorce through the courthouse under common

law marriage. In the state of Colorado, I was actually on the the mountain with John Pension Brian

Frank called me and I was a police officer came to Caffaro and and filed for divorce or I got

divorce papers served to me. Frank called me, let me know. I came down and met with a police officer.

He's just a dude that serves paperwork to serve the papers. He was super cool. And I was like dude,

how the hell can I get divorce papers? I'm not married. And he's like, oh, it's common law and he

started laughing and I knew at that point it probably wasn't that funny for me. And you know,
