Summary

Chastening vs judgment. Sometimes the truths that are the hardest to hear are the healthiest for our hearts and minds. This study starts with a messianic passage in Proverbs before continuing through our study of 1 Peter. We also go over 3 ways in which the New Testament "quotes" the Old Testament. This should help clarify some common confusion.

please to 1st Peter, chapter 4, we'll be starting in verse 17 today.

And we're actually going to finish 1st Peter 4. So we're going to get through up to chapter 5, the beginning of chapter 5.

30, here's a little, here's a little fun passage for you before we head into First

Peter. So you can have your place there in First Peter 4, but Proverbs chapter 30 has what is a

messianic passage in the book of proverbs, it might be one you're familiar with, but I just

Because I find this to be a beautiful passage and wonderfully laid out and really awesome and it gives us Jesus
