Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the Masters.

We were devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.

We were picking back up with new morning mercies, and I'm just going to take from here.

A quick little heads up.

For some reason, I just feel really tired today and so if you notice some low energy, that's why.

But again, I said this before. I love that we are not letting stuff get in the way from

dedicating ourselves to the Lord daily and so this is just a good little example

where maybe I would rather just go take a nap, Maybe just scroll on my phone for 30 minutes, whatever,

but instead I'm gonna do what's actually better for me,

which is a prelude to what this devotional is about because I did pre-read it a little bit. Anyways, this says this, by calling you to die daily,

the gospel welcomes you to live eternally. Contrary to popular opinion opinion death really is the portal to life

It is one of the principal paradoxes of grace

From a distance it seems to make no sense at all but you cannot understand God's work

of grace in your life if you don't if you don't face this paradox. It's clearly

presented in these words of Jesus Christ from Luke Chapter 9

23 through 27.

And he said to all, if anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his

cross daily and follow me.

For whoever would save his life would lose it, but whoever loses his life for my

sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or

forfeits himself. For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words,

of him will the son of man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the Holy Angels.
