on early British Christianity with Dr. Carly McNamara and others.

I thought I would share the story of one of the founders of early Christianity, but who also had a really interesting life otherwise, and that's Brendan the Navigator.

Brendan's story is complicated. He's considered one of the 12 apostles of Ireland. He started many monasteries around the island, and there's many, many places named after him. Scholars

are fairly certain he lived from the late 400s to the mid-500s a.D.

Just that would make him an interesting footnote for this whole Celtic British Christianity series.

You'd be like, huh, that's interesting, and let's move on.
