On November the 9th, the Netflix series The Crown will make its long awaited return and once again this companion

podcast will give you unprecedented access to the people who have created the

upcoming fifth season of this phenomenal drama.

For me what I've found incredibly moving are my costumes.

We'll hear from the legendary Emilda Staunton on taking on the role of Queen Elizabeth and stepping into her clothes.

Everything I wear is handmade. She never wears the same thing twice.

But I think the work that's gone into that just shows what this is all about.

Princess Diana during one of the most

tumultuous decades in the history of the British monarchy. I never told anyone this. I

went into audition for another role and I did that audition and thought it was

terrible. I thought I'd blown it. But I did that audition and thought it was terrible. I thought I'd blown it.

But I think that was the beginning of my relationship to Diana.

And will be reunited with a man behind the whole creative process writer Peter Morgan

to learn how the show has evolved as we step into season five.

You would normally think, right, great, we've got Leslie Manful, let's write the whole show around her.

Or you've got Elizabeth de Bickey, or Emel distort, or Jonathan Price for crying out.

Yeah.

You could feel that the story was broadening out that it started with Claire Foy and Matt Smith and now it's branched out into a responsibility carried by many more people.
