Well, our scripture lesson today comes from 2 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 3 through 7.

Notice there are these words in the New Living Translation.

All praise to God.

The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is our merciful father and the source of all comfort.

I want you to notice he is the source of all comfort. I want you to notice he is the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all

our troubles. All-L means to the exclusion of none. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can

comfort others. There's a reason. He comforts us so that we can comfort others. There's a reason. He comforts us so that we can

comfort others. And when we are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.

Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation.

For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you.

Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer.

We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort

God gives us. We're talking today simply from the subject comforted to comfort, comforted to comfort.

God comforts you so that you can comfort others. That's a ministry. It is a ministry of consolation.

It is the ministry of bringing comfort, cheer, and encouragement to others. It's a vital,

vital ministry. You know why? Because all of us experience trouble or sufferings at some

particular time or another in our life. And so that's why he comforts us so that we can be a comfort

to others, that what God has done for you and to you and in you, he then wants to do through you.

And so if you even notice the the Greek word in this passage that is translated as comfort is the Greek word paraclaces and it comes

from two different words para which means beside and calao which means to call so whenever you're in trouble you have a
