Let's allow ourselves these few moments of focus as we connect with God.

Let's close our eyes and listen to the scripture.

1 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 3 and 4.

God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.

He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.

When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

Can you remember a time where you were in pain and received comfort?

Can you see that God was the ultimate source of your comfort?

Can you right now even in your thoughts see that he was there? As we begin this guided prayer experience, I want us to begin with the power of gratitude,

the power of saying thank you.

No matter what you're facing, no matter what you've been through, no matter what it is

right now that you are journeying through, we can say thank you.

Repeat this after me.

Thank you, God, for being my comfort.

Let's say it again.

Thank you, God, for being my comfort.

Thank you, God, for being my comfort. And one more time, thank you, God, for being my comfort.

With your hands open, palms up, I want you to hear these words again. Listen closely. Your God is a

merciful father. Your God is the source of all comfort. Your God, he will comfort you in the middle of all your troubles.

God, we accept and receive. Just listening to your love, your unconditional love for us and towards us. It comforts us. And we thank you today. We are set free.

As we come to the conclusion of our guided prayer experience,

want us to pray and ask God to give us the strength and energy to be a comfort to those around us.
