person inside. But can you do it? Our contributor Simon Rich has put together a little quiz

to see if you are past sexism. Here it is, as read by Rob Hubel.

Each one is designed to expose your narrow-mindedness and reveal the bigoted assumptions

that lurk inside you all. Prepare to be shocked.

Number 1. Question. A child is rushed to the emergency room after

getting into an accident. The surgeon takes one look at the boy and says,

I can't treat him, he's my son. But the surgeon is not the child's father. How is this possible?

Answer. Because the surgeon is the child's mother. That's right, she's a woman.

Number 2. Question. Two Oxford physicists are discussing

string theory. All of a sudden, a beautiful naked woman walks into the room. Instead of being

startled, they continue to discuss string theory like nothing unusual has happened. How is this possible?

Answer. The physicists are having their discussion in the steam room of the YWCA,
