I had got into a rut with an image of myself as like a kind of a shambles of a person which I wasn't

fully committed to sorting out and although it's ridiculous to think a TV show is the way to deal with that.

It's a big and weird enough thing to be offered that it struck me as like a kind of,

I knew I would definitely change by doing it and the gamble that it might be a worse change seemed

worth taking.

It gets better because it has to get better.

Hello and welcome to the Made of Human podcast my name is Sophie Hagen and I sound tired it's because I am it's been

quite a day you know what it's been quite a week and before we go into the episode which is a two-parter this time

because it's with Mark Watson and he is a really good friend of mine and everything he says just makes you want to ask

him more questions so it ends up being a two-part so we get into some kind of

deep stuff I remember always to read the the trigger

warnings and stuff which I put in the episode descriptions but um for I want to say

that I just want to say I don't know if you've noticed you may not have in which case

just ignore what I'm saying but I've been under some quite I've been

under attack recently because of some tweets I did.

Like none of that's new.

If you know me just a little bit, you know that that happens, fucking all the time.

But, yeah, so I've been under attack, it's been quite, probably the biggest attack that I've suffered through yet.

Now, I don't really give a shit.

In theory, I don't give a shit about what they say but it does tire you out, you know, just getting a lot of abuse all the time, you know, you reach a, not a breaking breaking point but you reach a point when you know people

saying go kill yourself your fat cunt or I wouldn't assault you if because you're a fat whale or whatever.
