0:05.7	something I am so incredibly excited about, and I haven't been excited in a long time as much
0:13.1	as I'm excited about this. This weekend, so we're talking July 31st, through August 2ndnd will be the annual Sunstone Symposium at the University
0:27.3	of Utah in Salt Lake City. Now, for those of you have no idea what I'm talking about, Sunstone
0:33.7	has been meeting for decades. Think of it as like a Comic-Con for intellectual Mormons,
0:41.3	fans of Mormon history, of Mormon scholarship, of Mormon studies, unorthodox Mormons.
0:47.1	It's an annual event where people like that all get together and hear from speakers who we all would want to hear from and you get to meet cool
0:58.0	people like you you get to build community you get to have fun and you get to listen to really cool
1:04.6	speakers it's been happening every year for a long long time and, the speakers, the list of speakers is just stunning.
1:13.2	Let me give you some examples. So John Turner will be there. He's the scholar and the author
1:18.3	of this new biography on Joseph Smith that I'm covering on Mormon Stories. He's giving an opening
1:23.7	kickoff plenary presentation. I think it's Thursday night, July 31st. Matt Harris is going to be there.
1:30.0	Those of you who have loved the Second Class Saints series and also his work on Ezart-Benzhen.
1:35.2	He's a historian. Matt Harris is amazing. You all know him quite well. Barbara Jones Brown is going to be there.
1:41.9	She's the Mountain Meadows Massacre author and scholar. She also
1:46.5	is the head of signature books. Katie Ludlow Rich is going to be there along with so many
1:51.7	exponent to women, amazing historians and advocates for scholarship, women's scholarship.
1:58.8	Ganesh Charian is going to be there he just came out with the new book
2:01.7	about joseph smith he's brilliant he's from new zealand he's been on mormous stories maxine hinks
2:06.4	one of the september 6 is going to be there h michael marquart you've heard sandra tanner talk about
2:12.5	him he's an o g mormon historian paul tuscano again another one of the September 6th is going to be there speaking.
