Summary

Friends, on this Seventh Sunday of Easter, the Church gives us the privilege of hearing the very last words of the Bible. If you're reading poetry, a novel, or even a great work of history, the last words are of tremendous importance. We hear today a kind of coda or denouement after the great climax of the biblical story, and it gives us a clue as to the identity of the Church.

kind of Coda. It's a kind of day new Ma after the great climax of the story and

1:15.6

it's full of all sorts of interesting things and I think gives us a clue as to

1:26.7

book of Revelation began with the voice of Jesus. So the author hears this voice

1:32.6

like a trumpet and turns around to see so it begins with Jesus' voice and then it

1:37.4

ends with the same voice. Behold I'm coming soon. What have we heard now

1:45.1

throughout this book? That the world as we know it is ending. The old order has

1:50.8

collapsed. The world in the negative sense that means the the order based on sin.

1:56.7

The world that contributed to the death of Jesus, all the cruelty and
