You're not going to be here. When I was in college my great desire was to develop an unshakable and powerful faith, and so I tried many things.

I went up the canyon one day hoping to be alone with God and pray for an hour,

but I ran out of things to say in 10 minutes. Then a speaker came to our college ward

who struck me as a woman with wonderful faith, and so I asked if I could go visit with her

at her home and if she could teach me what she knew.

But things began to really open up for me when I read what Paul wrote in the magnificent Hebrews chapter 11 about faith. Let's explore today.

We were impressed with the story President Spencer W. Kimball

told years ago about the woman whose husband was a sailor and she hoped her sons would not grow

up to do the same.

Yet the walls of her house were decorated with seascapes and the boys seeing those pictures every day grew up to be sailors too.

The sea was imprinted in their hearts.

With that story in mind, we have created a beautiful photographic calendar for the new

2024 Book of Mormon curriculum year of Come Follow Me.

I'm sitting here looking at it right now and I have to tell you about one image that is very impressive to me

And that is I'm standing here on top of this mountain

Overlooking the Arabian Sea at the place called Corcarpot in Oman where Nephi built the ship. This is a place we've been working for years and many of you who have followed Meridian know that we have archaeological

digs that have been going on there for more than 10 years.

So this is a picture from the top of what we call Nephi's Mount or Nephi's Mountain.
