central to understanding what's going on in the Old Testament. We're going to see Elijah and we

have a special guest to be with us today. Yes, we're thrilled to have Patrick Dane with us today.

He's been an instructor in the Seminary's and Institute program for more than 25 years. He's

traveled and taught in the Holy Land. Of course, he loves the people in the Holy Land in their culture.

He holds degrees in classical history and Latin and military history, specializing in

ancient Greek and Roman warfare. We first met Patrick at NYU Education Week and we are so thrilled

to be here today with him as we talk about this particular section of the Old Testament.

To get started with this part of the Old Testament, we need to get some background on what is

happening here during Elijah's time. Patrick, maybe you can help us with that. We have

an incredible story. I mean, Elijah is not someone who really, Paul, who was hatched in a corner

somewhere. I mean, he comes on with just power. You have this dynasty that is mutated in
