This is Book of Mormon Central's Come Follow Me Insights. Today, the Book of Jonah

and the Book of Micah.

And we're really excited to have our friend and colleague, Crystal Pierce, join us today.

And she's an expert in archaeology and the Old Testament,

certain aspects.

And this is a fun section of chapters, Jonah and Micah.

And aren't you doing archaeological digs pretty close to where Jonah was raised?

Yeah, I feel the special connection with Jonah because he's from Got Heifer, which is not too far

from Nazareth in the Galilee area, and I dig there every summer at Telshamron. And I also

have dug at Jaffa, which Jonah spent some time at as well. So that's fun. This is great.

That's fun. So as we jump into this book, we would have to say that this is one of the more commonly

known stories in the church and in the world at large, because it's such a funny story

with this whale and him running away and preaching. But Crystal, what would you

say we need to understand about Jonah's, the man, the time, the place? What's going on so that we

can make sense of what we're going to read on these pages before we dive into chapter one?
