| 0:21.6 | And I'm Tyler. And I'm Josh. This is Book of Mormon Central's. Come follow me insights today, Isaiah 40 to 49. |
| 0:29.6 | And we're really excited today to welcome Josh Sears, our friend and colleague. Thank you for joining us. |
| 0:34.6 | Josh has spent years of his life studying the Hebrew Bible, |
| 0:39.6 | and he has a lot of his research focused, actually, in Isaiah. And I think it's safe to say |
| 0:45.8 | specifically in some of these chapters is kind of some of the crux of your work. Is that right? |

| 1:40.4 | can have multiple fulfillments, multiple meanings, and you don't want to restrict yourself |
| 1:44.4 | to just one narrow meaning. And so he says this about the Book of Isaiah. The Book of Isaiah |
| 1:49.7 | contains numerous prophecies that seem to have multiple fulfillments. One seems to involve the people |
| 1:55.5 | of Isaiah's day or the circumstances of the next generation. Another meaning, often symbolic, seems to refer to events |
| 2:02.7 | in the meridian of time when Jerusalem was destroyed and her people scattered after the crucifixion |
