Today, Moroni 1 through 6.

There is a lot to like about this particular set of chapters.

Before we dive into some of the specifics, let me share a couple

of items with you from a big picture perspective. If you ever get the chance to get your

hands on an 1830 replica edition of the book, actually, if you get your hands on a real 1830, count yourself

very fortunate. Most of us have to settle for one of the replica editions. What I wanted

to point out here is if you look carefully at the 1830 edition, there are no footnotes, there are no chapters

like we have them today, there are no verses, it's written in traditional book format.

Now the original authors, we assume, because that's how it comes to us in the original manuscript, seem to

have put in little breaks that then become chapter breaks in the original. They're much longer

chapters than the ones we have in our current edition of the Book Mormon. These chapters

and verses were added in a much later edition of the Book of Mormon by

Orson Pratt in the 1879 edition.

Every book in the Book of Mormon that's a multi-chapter book has different chapter breakup than it is in the 1830, except for the book of Moroni. It
