This is Scripture Central's Come Follow Me Insights.

This week, Matthew 11 through 12 and Luke chapter 11.

We begin in chapter 11, verse 1, where it says, and it came to pass that when Jesus had

made an end of commanding his 12 disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in

their cities. So he commands the disciples, and then he goes, you'll notice

he doesn't go on vacation. He went roundabout to teach and to preach in the cities, roundabout,

which implies that when you go on a mission or when you're on the Lord's errand,

there's an element of work and sacrifice involved.

Reminds me of Alma, the Book of Mormon, where it says, he could not rest, and he gets

up and goes out and shares the gospel.

And there's something compelling that when there's so much good news and so much goodness

from God that you've experienced, it's hard just to sit back.

You feel compelled, excited, energized, inspired to get out and share with others.

Yeah, and so now this next part that he – he's going to give a tribute to John in – starting

in verse 7.

So we've already covered from Mark the passage of the disciples of John coming to ask that

question in verse 2 through 6.
