locked on chiefs podcast. The 2020 NFL combine has begun and has a few wrinkles to

throw at you. Welcome back to lockdown chiefs.

I'll be joined here shortly by Chris from Chief's Digest

and we're going to go through a number of things getting ready a couple of

position reviews looking at the DBs and the wide receivers currently on the

Chief's roster and what they may be looking for as they get ready to take in all of the information that they're going to gain in the Indianapolis as this combine goes forward.

Now, a lot of it's going to be, most importantly, medicals and interviews, get a feel for whether a guy can do what you want him to do with

it as the mental capacity, whether he has the temperament, does he fit in your locker room, those

kind of things. Interviews are very important. Clearly, the medical clearance and making sure that everybody's in sound shape

no underlying health problems etc are going to be the baseline for most of the discussions

but there's new drills that are going on.

There's 16 of them at the combine this year.

Yes, we know that there's a big format change

in going to the prime time workouts,

where everything's kind of flipped on its head.

There's going to be interviews during the day, medical during the day.

Medical is about the same.

But normally, the workouts would be during the day on the last day of a given position group's time in Indiana.

This time it's going to be at night. It's going to be a truncated broadcast because I think what they're going to do

is condense some of it, give you a little bit more highlights, which is unfortunate because there's so many more drills at the position groups that you'd really like to spend time and be able to see those actually go off in a lot more detail. I think that's important.
