It's the winter that never ends, but the off season and the NFL is starting to change.

It will end.

We are headed to the next stage of it.

I'm an indie.

The NFL scouting combine starts officially on Tuesday, but folks

are here. Players start to arrive. I'm here. And Tuesday, it begins. So the NFL scouting

combine is over 300 draft prospects here for medical testing, measurements, psychological testing.

In many cases, but not all, the bench press, the on-field workout, teams get verified

measurables, verified medical reports, and only then can they really finish their

full evaluations, you know, full draft grades, I guess, on these guys.

In many cases, the most important things that go on here are the in-person interview,

sometimes interviews with the prospects, and stuff that you would never see on TV, even though parts of the combine are now televised.

And that's general manager to general manager, general manager to head coach, head coach to head coach, player personnel director to general manager.

Teams laying the foundation for what's going to happen because two weeks from this morning is the start of the NFL's player movement period.

Yes, it will be here quickly.

So I don't know this for sure, but if the Browns are going to make a run at Malik Willis,

if the Browns are really going to investigate a trade for Mack Jones for Anthony Richardson,

that foundation is going to be laid in some way this week.

And I'm not saying that anybody's ever tampered.

I am saying that all the agents are here.

I think parameters are laid and priorities are laid out.
