Summary

(00:00-26:29) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing their three-day weekend. They touch on the upcoming week for the Indiana Fever, recap the finale race of the season for IndyCar, and week one of the college football season.

(26:29-40:31) – Now that IndyCar season is officially over, Jake shares what he heard over the weekend in Nashville about what is going to happen during free agency. Who signs Will Power? Will Rinus Veekay get a big payday?

(40:31-49:04) – The first hour of the program wraps up with Jake and Eddie discussing which NFL team will be surprisingly good, a team that will have a disappointing season after high expectations, and then a team that will have a catastrophic season.

(49:04-1:14:26) – ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder joins Jake Query on today’s show and joins in on the conversation from the previous conversation. He also tries to calm Jake’s nervousness about the Colts cornerback room heading into the season, if he also felt like Chris Ballard was defensive last week in press conference, and he makes his Super Bowl prediction!

(1:14:26-1:25:41) – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files joins Jake Query to preview the current WNBA Playoff Picture for the Indiana Fever with four games left on the schedule. Scott still believes that Caitlin Clark will play before the end of the regular season for Indiana. Plus, he comments on where Tyrese Haliburton is at in his recovery from his torn achilles with a video of him shooting free throws being released.

(1:25:41-1:36:08) – The second hour of the program concludes with Jake discussing the latest recruit that Matt Painter has secured for the 2026 season. It leads to Jake talking about how Purdue has turned itself into a marquee program underneath Painter in the last ten years.

(1:36:08-2:00:44) – The Athletic’s Zak Keefer joins Jake Query to kick off the final hour of the show to discuss his latest story on how the NFL breaks young quarterbacks. He touches on some of the things that he talked with Peyton Manning about when it comes to the infrastructure around young quarterbacks, believes that the Colts still have confidence in Anthony Richardson, and accesses if it’s possible that too much damage has already been done with how the Colts have handled Richardson.

(2:00:44-2:14:51) – The latest college football rankings are out, Jake and Eddie go over the top five, biggest risers, biggest fallers, and some teams that are in the rankings for the first time. Also, Jake refreshes people on where things are at in silly season for IndyCar.

(2:15:51-2:23:29) – Today’s show closes out with Jake and Eddie highlighting some predictions they made earlier in the show and JMV previewing his show!
